Incredibly sad news has come to light about Wendy Williams.

Williams’ guardian claims that the former talk show host’s health has deteriorated as she faces severe cognitive decline.

New court documents have revealed the tragic extent of her condition, with Williams left “cognitively impaired, permanently disabled and incapacitated” by her battle with dementia, according to the star’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, in a November 12 court filing, according to multiple media reports, including the New York Post and Blast.

The file was presented in a New York courtroom and describes her devastating condition.

Since May 2022, she has been under a court-ordered conservatorship overseeing her health and finances after her bank, Wells Fargo, claimed she was “incapacitated.”

The court filing continues: “In January 2022, after becoming aware of a series of troubling events regarding (Wendy’s) well-being and finances, Wells Fargo took the highly unusual step of commencing conservatorship proceedings in the Supreme Court on its own initiative.” of New York, New York County (the “Guardianship Proceedings”) to request the court appointment of an independent guardian for (Wendy’s) financial matters.”

The lawsuit is part of a legal dispute between Morrissey and Lifetime over the release of the documentary “Where is Wendy Williams?” which fell at the beginning of the year.

Back in February, Morrissey filed a lawsuit to prevent the documentary from being released. It was eventually released on Lifetime and highlighted the daytime TV talk show host’s struggles with alcohol.

In this filing, Morrissey is fighting for the court to redact certain parts of the case to protect Williams’ privacy. More specifically, information about their health, family relationships and finances.

The heartbreaking news comes as Williams continues to battle frontotemporal dementia and primary aggressive aphasia, both of which have severely affected her cognitive abilities. It’s the same devastating medical issue that actor Bruce Willis is currently dealing with.
