“We have made the difficult decision to close Schwartz & Sandy’s.”

The bar’s closure comes two years after its opening in 2022 amid “Scandoval,” the scandal that rocked the reality series after it was revealed that Sandoval had an affair and cheated on Ariana Madix.

“It is with a heavy heart that we made the difficult decision to close Schwartz & Sandy’s at the end of December,” Sandoval said in a statement shared on Instagram. “This was not an easy decision for my partners and I, but other priorities and commitments prevailed. While this business venture has been an incredible step in my life that I will always cherish, I look forward to exciting new endeavors.”

Noting that the bar will host a number of events before its closure, Sandoval adds: “The appeal of being associated with reality TV has hidden an amazing space and location for LA locals. “

Schwartz also shared his own statement about the bar’s closure on Instagram.

“It’s not easy to say, but after careful consideration, Greg, Tom and I have decided to close Schwartz and Sandy’s by the end of the year. This was not an easy conclusion. So this is our farewell tour,” Schwartz said.

He continued: “There is a certain peace in knowing that I gave S&S my best and was fully committed with every fiber of my being. To all the guests who came and supported us, who showed me love every night I was there, you helped me get through some of the tougher times.”

Schwartz and Sandy’s opened in 2022, and Bravo cameras followed the Toms as they worked on their first business venture outside of Lisa Vanderpump, in which they were involved with TomTom Bar. But in 2023, Scandoval broke months later and the company suffered a setback. Sandoval became reality TV’s biggest villain and fans flocked to social media to leave negative reviews of the establishment.

The bar could have benefited from the publicity generated by the presentation Vanderpump Rulesbut the show was put on pause and filming for the new season was postponed. The future of the show stays in the air.
