Tom Schwartz hinted that Vanderpump Rules would be undergoing some big changes just two weeks before the cast shakeup was announced.

Earlier this month, Page Six caught up with Schwartz, 42, at Lisa Vanderpump’s annual Vanderpump Dog Foundation gala in Beverly Hills, California, where we asked him about his “hopes” and “dreams” for “the next season of ‘Vanderpump Rules.'” asked.’”

At this point, Bravo had not yet said anything about a twelfth season of the reality series, which is traditionally filmed in the summer.

We explained to Schwartz that we assumed there would be a “next season” at some point, but asked him if he knew “differently.”

“I’m keeping quiet at the moment,” he replied. “But listen, I love filming because I grew up with these people in Los Angeles. They are my LA family.”

Pointing to Vanderpump, 64, as he posed for photos on the red carpet, the bar owner added, “That’s my mom from LA.”

Schwartz shared that the cast’s close bond extends to “the entire production team.”

“You mean, what specifically would happen if we filmed or if we filmed?” he replied. “Or just hope we film again? What do you say?”

However, he sighed as he admitted, “I know all good things come to an end, so I’m just enjoying every moment while it lasts. “I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m optimistic!”

He added that he’s “working on some other cool stuff” but couldn’t go into specifics.

Perhaps Schwartz’s views at the time also applied to the impending closure of his and his co-star Tom Sandoval’s eponymous bar, Schwartz & Sandy’s.

The Toms announced via Instagram on Monday that they have decided to close the lounge in Franklin Village, California, at the end of December.

“This was not an easy decision for my partners and I, but other priorities and commitments prevailed,” said Sandoval, also 42, without elaborating.

Schwartz, for his part, told his followers that he feels at “peace” knowing that he “gave his absolute strength to S&S and was fully committed with every fiber of his being.”

As for “Vanderpump Rules,” Bravo announced Tuesday that the Emmy-nominated series is coming back for Season 12, but that it will feature an entirely “new group of tight-knit SUR-verse.”
