ALL. 516. Let’s start with the weekend because we’re going to have very, very cold air. AND BEYOND, IT WILL FEEL EVEN COLDER BECAUSE SOME OF THOSE WINDS ARE BACK. So as we head into Friday night and Saturday morning, it’s going to feel like teenagers, 20s and 30s. So this is just kind of a precursor. This just wants to let us know that it’s getting cold. But look at this Saturday morning, it’s going to feel like it’s going to be in the single digits for a few of us on the other side of the mountains, teenagers and twenty-somethings. THESE ARE NOT ACTUAL TEMPERATURES BUT LOOK AT WHERE WE FEEL LIKE NEGATIVE ZERO ON MONDAY MORNING. With wind chills like this, you don’t want to be outside for long periods of time. That won’t be a good idea. I feel more like single digits and teenagers in the hinterland. Therefore there is a short warning. I’ll go through it in more detail in a moment. We have a cold front outside right now. It’s a milder start to the day. We had a few spotty showers. We’ll zoom in a little closer for you here. Once this front breaks through we will bring back the northerly winds. So this will be the start of some of these cooler temperatures coming our way. PICKENS gets some rain. GAFFNEY BACK TO TOCCOA, RIGHT ALONG I-85, AND CULLOWHEE IS GETTING A LITTLE RAIN AND WE’RE GOING TO 9:00 THIS MORNING. Most of the rain will be gone as we head into the late afternoon. For most of us, we will see some sunshine after about 2 p.m. It gets windy in the mountains. It will be windy at times throughout the hinterland, but nothing too crazy. MORNING. A GREAT TRAVEL DAY. MAYBE YOU WILL TRAVEL. Maybe you’re running some errands. You still have a lot to do. I know it will be a dry Wednesday early Thursday morning. THANKSGIVING. The rainfall moves in and out. Should be out of here by lunchtime, if not before Thursday evening. WILL BE COLDER AND DRY. We’ll take a look at some of these winds on Thursday. On Thanksgiving Day, some of those wind gusts will be between 20 and 30 mph. WHILE WE CLEAR IT IT WILL BE AIRY. THE ONLY REASON I MENTION THIS IS BECAUSE INFLATABLE DECORATIONS ARE THE ANSWER CURRENTLY. You may want to keep an eye on these as you look ahead to Thanksgiving through Friday, a few bursts of wind are possible in the mountains. Most stay dry. SATURDAY. Sunday will be a dry day for most of us. We have another disturbance Sunday evening into Monday that could bring some snow to the mountains, but the air from the Arctic will really intensify. Wait until you see these temperatures. How much snow could fall Sunday night? EARLY MONDAY MORNING, EVERYTHING FROM SOME IRON TO SOME LIGHT MEASURABLE SNOW, 66 TODAY, 60 TOMORROW.
