COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A new report has revealed the stores that will be offering the biggest discounts on Black Friday this year.

Personal finance company WalletHub analyzed more than 4,300 offers from Black Friday ads from the 13 largest American retailers. The site calculated the average discount each retailer would like to offer and weighted it based on the original price, giving more credit to stores that mark down expensive items.

“The best Black Friday deals can save you up to 88% this year, but when you’re bombarded with ads and there are so many places to shop, it can be difficult to decide where to actually spend your money,” said WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo. “Knowing which retailers are actually offering great deals compared to their normal prices can save you a lot of time and prevent buyer’s remorse.”

JCPenney has been named as the retailer that will offer the deepest discounts this Black Friday. According to WalletHub, the store offers an average discount of 76.2%. This is the fourth time since 2014 that the retailer has achieved the top spot in WalletHub’s annual Black Friday report, thanks to the store’s “great” deals on appliances, jewelry and clothing.

The chain with the second best Black Friday deals is Belk. The department store only has locations in 16 states, not counting Ohio, but does offer online shopping. Belk has an average discount of 72.7% and offers deals on jewelry, clothing, televisions, digital cameras and other electronics.

In third place is Macy’s with an average discount of 57.1%. The store’s best deals are on jewelry, followed by furniture. The site also found out which companies offer the best discounts across different categories (see below).
