Ben Affleck bonds with ex-wife Jennifer Garner on Thanksgiving while Jennifer Lopez goes through divorce: ‘He’s very happy’ “You could hear the bang, bang, bang,” witnesses recall of their experiences during the Park Plaza Mall shooting

Just one day after NFL Thanksgiving Day, the Kansas City Chiefs hosted the Las Vegas Raiders in the newer tradition Black Friday football.

In a home game against a familiar opponent and division rival, the Chiefs started the game a little slow. But they weren’t the only ones.

After the Raiders were forced to punt on a 4th-and-19 midway through the first quarter, Las Vegas punter AJ Cole thought he had just delivered the punt of his life. Cole’s punt traveled from his own 31-yard line to just below the goal line and bounced at the 1-yard line.

It was something beautiful. There was no argument. That was a real punt. Take a look for yourself here.

After the game, the referees met and called a penalty against Kansas City that would have initially held them back to their own half-yard line.

After that flag, the game went to a commercial break, but when the broadcast returned, the Chiefs were at their own 23-yard line instead of their half-yard line.

Kirk Herbstreit and Al Michaels further explained that the referees misunderstood the call and that the Raiders had punted again during the break, which is why the Chiefs were in better field position at the time.

Many opposing fans have often loved pointing the finger at the Chiefs and whining about the Chiefs getting “all the calls,” but this time the team actually had no choice but to reverse that decision and do it again to explain so that Kansas City could join in with better field position at the end.

Unlike some other cases where opposing fans had the appearance of a foothold, this penalty was clearly awarded incorrectly. The Chiefs legitimately had a chance to punt a second time.
