The Los Angeles Chargers made a series of roster moves before kickoff in prime time Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens.

There, the team activated cornerback Deane Leonard from injured reserve and signed cornerback Eli Apple from the practice squad to the active roster.

In corresponding moves, the team waived defensive back AJ Finley and placed tight end Hayden Hurst on injured reserve.

Cornerback has been a focus for the Chargers this year due to injuries, so getting Leonard back on the roster is a big help. Apple is a new addition that has been promoted in recent weeks, bringing some key representatives to the team, so the promotion was quite predictable.

As for Hurst, he only lasted in seven games while Will Dissly emerged as the top of the depth chart at tight end.

Finally, the Chargers signed safety Tony Jefferson and linebacker Caleb Murphy from the practice squad. As standard players, they return to the practice squad the next day.
