Precipitation quickly moved away from the Washington, D.C. region on Tuesday, but another storm system is expected to bring rain to our area through Thanksgiving.

FOX 5’s Tucker Barnes says it should be a calm and sunny afternoon with highs in the 50s. Clouds will increase on Wednesday with similar temperatures.

However, showers and patchy fog are expected to develop Wednesday night into Thursday morning, leading to rain across much of the D.C. area on Thanksgiving.

There will be rain and clouds across the region for most of Thursday afternoon. The same cold front that will produce rain across much of the DC area will also likely bring snow and freezing rain to parts of northern New England.

Commuters traveling on Tuesday don’t have to worry about the weather. Poor visibility and gusty winds will be a problem on roads Thursday into Friday as the system moves away from the coast.

Cool temperatures above 40 degrees on Friday. Sunny with high temperatures around 40 degrees on Saturday. Mostly sunny with temperatures around 30°C on Sunday.
