Ben Affleck bonds with ex-wife Jennifer Garner on Thanksgiving while Jennifer Lopez goes through divorce: ‘He’s very happy’ “You could hear the bang, bang, bang,” witnesses recall of their experiences during the Park Plaza Mall shooting

NFL legend Terry Bradshaw sparked debate with his bold analysis ahead of the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving matchup against the New York Giants, suggesting backup quarterback Cooper Rush should remain the starter even when Dak Prescott returns to fitness.

The Cowboys won 27-20, with Rush throwing for 195 yards and a touchdown while Brandon Aubrey contributed nine points.

Before the game, Bradshaw stated, “He (Rush) should probably be the starter when the other one (Prescott) comes back,” leaving his FOX NFL Sunday colleagues, including Curt Menefee, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson and Michael Strahan, in stitches amazed.

Bradshaw’s comment sparked a heated discussion on social media, with many questioning his logic.

This isn’t the first time Bradshaw has made a controversial statement about the Cowboys, having previously suggested the franchise should trade All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons for a first-round draft pick.

Prescott, who signed a four-year, $240 million contract extension in September, including $231 million in guaranteed money, has struggled to perform consistently despite the high expectations placed on him.

Prescott, the Cowboys’ quarterback, led his team to just three wins in eight games while amassing 1,978 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions. His QBR of 46.3 is one of the lowest in the league, raising questions about his ability to fulfill his role as a franchise quarterback.

After suffering a hamstring injury in November, Prescott was sidelined for the remainder of the season, and Rush stepped in to fill the void. However, Rush’s debut was a disappointing 34-6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, in which he only threw for 45 yards.

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy took responsibility for the poor performance and blamed himself for not getting his player into a rhythm. “I didn’t get Cooper (Rush) into a rhythm and that’s something I didn’t feel good about in the game,” McCarthy admitted. “We have to find a better way to do this, I have to do a better job there.”

“How do you design the ball to go across the field or into the green grass? “We had a number of crossing routes that we liked and it just didn’t happen,” he continued. “And that’s how the game goes… The ball didn’t travel down the field enough, that’s for sure.”

The Dallas Cowboys suffered a loss to the Houston Texans the following week, which cast doubt on Rush’s starting position. With Prescott out of action, Rush and backup Trey Lance are the team’s available quarterbacks.

However, Rush managed to silence some critics with an impressive overtime win against the Washington Commanders, in which he threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns, including a game-winning 22-yard pass to rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker fourth quarter.
