Just in time for the holidays, Cineverse has revealed plans for a “Terrifier 3” making-of documentary that will take fans behind the scenes of the hit indie slasher. Titled “Art Attack! “The Dissection of Terrifier 3” will release exclusively on the company’s streaming platform Screambox in early 2025.

“Art Assault!” is billed as a comprehensive look at how the “Terrifier 3” team brought various brutal kills and gory effects to life in the latest slasher entry. The documentary features interviews with director Damien Leone, producer Phil Falcone and various cast members, as well as new footage from the production set.

The making-of documentary comes from Cult Screenings UK, producers of Screambox’s Pennywise: The Story of It, which delves into the development, casting of Tim Curry and cult legacy of the Stephen King miniseries adaptation It the year 1990. Cult Screenings’ other credits include “RoboDoc,” about the making of Paul Verhoeven’s action-satire classic “RoboCop,” and “Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story,” a portrait of the man behind Freddy Krueger.

Gary Smart and John Campopiano directed “Art Attack!” and served as producers alongside Adam Evans and Christopher Griffiths. Erick Opeka, Yolanda Macias, Brandon Hill and Brad Miska are executive producers for Cineverse, as are Hank Starrs and Laurence Gornall for Cult Screenings UK Ltd. The deal was negotiated by Hill on behalf of Cineverse and Gornall on behalf of the Unannounced Film Company.

“‘Art Attack!’ is an extraordinary look at how Damien, Phil and their team took “Terrifier 3” to new levels of horror. “Fans will get an in-depth look at the artistry and craft that pushed the boundaries of the genre and led to the No. 1 film in America,” said Brandon Hill, Executive Director of Acquisitions at Cineverse.

“The team is honored to be working with Cineverse again and in particular to showcase the great work of Damien Leone and his team in bringing the iconic character Art the Clown back to the big screen in ‘Terrifier 3,'” Smart said at Cult Screenings UNITED KINGDOM.

“Terrifier 3” debuted at the top of the domestic box office in October with an opening weekend of $18.3 million — more than the combined earnings of the first two “Terrifier” entries and an unprecedented result for an independent, unrated horror film. It has collected more than $87 million from theaters worldwide.
