Spoilers for another WWE Hall of Fame legend coming December 14th. will appear in Saturday night's main event on NBC

Updates continue to emerge regarding the return of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC.

As previously mentioned, WWE is bringing back the popular Saturday night WWE programming to prime time on NBC. The first episode is scheduled for December 14th at 8/7c at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

This is the same location that hosted the very first episode of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC back in May 1985.

The show will air live on NBC and will be simulcast for subscribers to the Peacock streaming platform. It is the first primetime special to air quarterly on NBC and Peacock as part of WWE’s new, five-year domestic media rights partnership with NBCUniversal.

So far, the only match officially announced by WWE for the 12/14 show is Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Additionally, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will feature the crowning of the first-ever WWE Women’s United States Champion, and another big WWE Championship bout is rumored for the return.

Whether the very first WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion will be at the show on December 14th. will be crowned remains to be seen.

In an update, a WWE source reports that the company is working to give the 12/14 show a “very old-school feel” with live presentation, graphics, music and other production-related elements.

WWE also wants to bring back familiar faces from the original days of Saturday Night’s Main Event in the late 1980s.

As previously mentioned, Jesse Ventura will return for commentary on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Also back is WWE Hall of Fame legend Jimmy Hart. “The Mouth of the South” is scheduled for December 14th. in the return episode of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC, as he too was a prominent on-air personality during the series’ original broadcast in the 1980s.

For the recurring WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on the NBC special on December 14th. On site will be undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Seth “Freakin’” Rollins, WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair.
