Simone Biles is teaming up with Snoop Dogg on NBC’s hit reality singing show in a completely unexpected way The voice.

The seven-time Olympic gold medalist will join the legendary rapper as one of his singing team’s mentors in the episode, which premieres next Monday. The episode has already been filmed and Biles admitted she had fun doing it, even though singing isn’t her specialty.

“We were able to poke fun at each other and give the artists the best insight into the next round,” Biles said The Associated Press. “It was pretty easy, simple. We are both very gentle. But if we need to increase that energy, we can. For us it was about inspiring confidence for the next week.”

It sounds like Biles’ best advice to Snoop Dogg’s team is how to perform under the spotlights while everyone is watching you, and how best to handle that pressure. Having competed in three Olympics and various other international gymnastics competitions, she knows what it’s like to be in the spotlight.

“She is a performer. I am a performer. We played in extreme conditions. We always do our best. But sometimes things happen behind closed doors that you don’t know about,” said Snoop Dogg. “So we are able to talk to these things and give them real reassurance.”

Snoop Dogg worked as an Olympic correspondent for NBC last summer during the 2024 Paris Games. He witnessed Biles perform on the Olympic stage there, and now she can see his craft up close.

The voice Premieres Monday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
