“Shiver” expands the cast to include Sofia Wylie, Alexander Ludwig, Alicia Witt and Greg Kinnear

EXCLUSIVE: Claire McCarthy has added to the cast of seven showerher adaptation of the New York Times bestselling young adult fantasy novel by Maggie Stief Vater. The new additions are Sofia Wylie (The map that leads to you), Iman Vellani (The miracles), Lyon Daniels (The Spiderwick Chronicles), Alexander Ludwig (The earth remains), Ross Butler (Shazam! Rage of the gods), Alicia Witt (Long legs) and Oscar nominee Greg Kinnear (As good as it gets).

As previously announced, Maddie Ziegler and Levi Miller star. Production is underway in Vancouver.

Adapted for the screen by McCarthy and Jett Tattersall, shower is about Grace, who was attacked by a pack of wolves as a child. However, one of them – a yellow-eyed wolf – saved them and created an inexplicable bond between them. Years later, she meets a young man named Sam with exactly the same yellow eyes and immediately feels a connection to him. Their love story unfolds against a backdrop of mystical events, mysterious disappearances and intrigues that reveal to Grace the true nature of Sam and his connection to the wolves. As winter approaches, Sam must simultaneously fight to retain his humanity or risk losing himself and Grace forever.

Addam Bramich from Simple House Films (Zipline, Poker face), Ryan Hamilton (Zipline, Hotel Mumbai) and Volodymyr Artemenko (Icefall, Zipline); Jeanette Volturno of CatchLight Studios (Heretic, Invisible man); and Ziegler produce, with Anna Todd (After Franchise, I regret you) served as executive producer. The film is seen as the first installment in a new franchise by the recently formed Simple House Films, which developed and fully financed the project.
