Ben Affleck bonds with ex-wife Jennifer Garner on Thanksgiving while Jennifer Lopez goes through divorce: ‘He’s very happy’ “You could hear the bang, bang, bang,” witnesses recall of their experiences during the Park Plaza Mall shooting

The Portland Trail Blazers were embarrassed in their last game against Monday night’s opponent, the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Blazers shot 4 of 42 from three-point range and committed 24 turnovers during a 134-89 home loss on Nov. 10.

The loss was a wake-up call for the Blazers. Since then, they have won four of six games, including two wins over Minnesota and one on Saturday in Houston.

Suddenly, the Blazers (7-10) no longer appear to be a team in the hunt for Duke freshman Cooper Flagg, the projected top pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

They are in 13th place in the Western Conference, but are only two games into 10th place, the final spot for the play-in. The Blazers are in 22nd place in the NBA league standings.

Of course, there’s still a lot of basketball left to play, starting with a rematch against the Grizzlies.

They have won three of four games and could bring back star guard Ja Morant. He is listed as questionable. Morant and guard Desmond Bane missed Portland’s loss, but that was scary.

Bane has since returned and is playing well. Adding Morant would make the task even more difficult for the Blazers.

Both teams will miss their rookie centers. The Blazers are missing Donovan Clingan with a knee sprain and Memphis’ Zach Edey has a left ankle sprain.

Forecast: Anfernee Simons clicks again for the Blazers. He, Shaedon Sharpe and Jerami Grant combined for 71 points for the Rockets on Saturday.

But the Blazers will be without Clingan, their best interior defender. Expect Memphis to take advantage and win.
