Ben Affleck bonds with ex-wife Jennifer Garner on Thanksgiving while Jennifer Lopez goes through divorce: ‘He’s very happy’ “You could hear the bang, bang, bang,” witnesses recall of their experiences during the Park Plaza Mall shooting

Last week on Days of Our Division, Dallas returned from the dead to shock Washington commanders. The Cowboys’ surprise helped the surging Philadelphia Eagles extend their lead in the NFC East even further. And in New York, the Giants proved that they have plenty of other problems besides QB Daniel Jones.

Instead of Dan Quinn getting a so-called revenge, not to mention Tyler Biadasz, Dorance Armstrong, Noah Brown, Dante Fowler, Noah Igbinoghene, Joe Whitt and probably some former AT&T Stadium concession workers, Washington suffered another loss to the Cowboys. Rivalry aside, this was even more painful for the Commanders as it was their third consecutive season and has now brought their storybook season to the point of enormous danger. A few weeks after leading the NFC East, they are just half a game away from being eliminated from the playoffs entirely.

Philadelphia rode Saquon Barkley’s 255 rushing yards to a dominant victory over the Los Angeles Rams, their seventh in a row. While the Packers and Vikings aren’t going away quietly, the NFC appears to belong to either the Eagles or Detroit Lions this season.

After Daniel Jones was fired, New York looked even less competent in their 30-7 home loss to the Buccaneers. The team appears to have completely given up on the season, which may be in line with the front office’s plan, but there are still an ugly six games left.

Current NFC East standings

The Giants are now taking their poop show on the road to take on the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. As bad as things can still be in Dallas, especially with so many injured starters and a short week of preparation, New York doesn’t even appear to be committed at this point. The Cowboys’ incredible 14-1 record against the G-Men since 2017 should only improve this week, bringing Dallas to 5-7 and sparking at least some interesting philosophical debates about the rest of their season.

The Commanders have a good chance to end their losing streak with a home game against the 8-3 Tennessee Titans. If Washington can’t get its act together this time, all the goodwill from its 7-2 start will evaporate. But hey, if anyone knows how to screw up a lead, it’s Dan Quinn.

Philadelphia is in Game of the Week with a short road trip to Baltimore. It will be the first time Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson face each other in the NFL; When the Eagles and Ravens last met in 2020, Hurts was Carson Wentz’s backup. This will be an intriguing matchup, both with the mobile QBs and the RB duel between Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley.
