Las Vegas, Nevada – Gusty winds, cooler temperatures and the possibility of rain will hit southern Nevada early this week. Motorists traveling along the I-15 corridor should prepare for potentially hazardous conditions, particularly near mountainous areas.

According to the National Weather Service, the Las Vegas area will have a 30% chance of rain on Monday with wind gusts up to 21 miles per hour. Temperatures are expected to peak at 62°F, a slight decrease from Sunday’s high of 65°F. Light mountain snow is forecast for areas north and west of Interstate 15, particularly in the Sierra and Lincoln County regions.
