The Miami Heat benefit from it Jimmy Butler’s returned after missing four games with an ankle injury. After the game, Butler attributed his aggressive offense to Spoelstra’s leadership. I feel like I need to start attacking more often if I’m going to be as aggressive as the guys want me to be like Spo always tells me,, Butler said. “It opens up much more for everyone else. So if I can lead that part of the offense, that’s good. Now I just have to figure out how to do it on the defensive side.”

Butler also praised Spoelstra for making the late-game play that sent the match into overtime. “I just saw that he was voted the best coach in the association” Butler added. Rightly so, because he would be locked up, he would be learning and like no one I’ve ever seen. And he created something incredible. And I hate to say it, but Duncan made an incredible pass.”

Bam Adebayo praises Butler’s leadership

“I mean, he’s a smart player, man. He always makes the right play.” Adebayo said. “And when everything prepares and we feed off it. You know, we have moments where sometimes it’s Tyler, sometimes it’s me, and sometimes it’s him. And right now he is, and we stand behind it.”

Spoelstra highlights Butler’s offensive versatility

Spoelstra praised Butler’s offensive brilliance and his unique ability to elevate his game in critical moments. “He has the highest processing speed percentile when he has the ball in his hands, which was the case in our first year“, explained Spoelstra. “And you know how unique that makes him– he can nail that harsh physicality, intensity and intensity and slow it all down in the moments of truth.”

Spoelstra elaborated, comparing Butler’s IQ to that of some of the league’s top talents. “That’s part of his genius.
