Lala Kent, Katie Maloney and Andy Cohen react to Vanderpump Rules renewal amid cast changes

After Bravo announced this Vanderpump Regulate had been renewed for season 12 Following a major cast reshuffle, some of the show’s stars took to social media to share their reactions to saying goodbye to the long-running reality TV series.

Lala Kent shared photos of her from the show, from her first appearance in Season 4 in 2015, to some shots from recent reunions and BTS photos with her and her other castmates, below Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute and others who left the series in previous seasons.

“Where should I start? I was a young girl from Salt Lake City making her way to LA. I introduced myself as Lauren, but because my childhood best friend called me Lala, my nickname quickly stuck. Sur was a place that grew into “Not only did I drink vodka sodas there, but I also worked behind a hostess stand…it remains to this day the most intimidating job I’ve ever had,” Kent wrote. “A short time later I had the opportunity to be on a show Vanderpump Rules landed in front of me. While the mother of two said she doesn’t like change, she welcomes the changes on the show, adding: “It’s no secret that I don’t like change. That is the exception. Katie Maloney Reacted to the news on her Instagram Stories, sharing one of her first photos from the show’s intro in one of SUR’s iconic uniforms.

“It’s mixed. But I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you for the memories and love over the last 11 years,” wrote the co-owner of Something About Her.

Bravo manager, Andy Cohenalso weighed in and went to X to share a line from the Vanderpump Rules Theme song with a slight change: “Those were the best days of our lives…”

According to an announcement from the network on Tuesday, Bravo has renewed the show for Season 12, but with some big changes.

The network says the show is now airing Lisa Vanderpump “and a new group of close-knit SUR-verse.” Sources tell Kent, Scheana Shay, Brock Davies And Tom Schwartz will appear in the spin-off The valley next season while they could potentially appear on Vanderpump Rules and elsewhere in the Bravoverse in the future.

As for the future of the rest of the cast, include James Kennedy, Tom Sandoval and others, that remains unclear.

Vanderpump Rules first premiered on Bravo in January 2013 and followed a close-knit group of waiters at the West Hollywood restaurant. Over the years, some of the show’s cast members came and went, as Lisa opened new restaurants, the cast members went into business of their own, and became more and more involved in each other’s lives—even sparking a cheating scandal that would captivate the world.

Season 10 achieved record ratings, with Season 11 falling just short of post-Scandoval, but there have been rumors of a shakeup for some time as ratings for the long-running series declined following the COVID-19 pandemic.
