I’m, um, not doing that today.

Let’s not talk about Kings basketball.

For your consideration

Kill or be killed: Based on what I saw at G1C last night, I legitimately can’t muster the will to write a preview of my two favorite teams’ game in the NBA. I’m not even mad about it, just emotionally empty of the things that normally make me a fan. This team is poorly managed, poorly coached and poorly played by the majority of those currently associated with the franchise. They built a roster with no length and expected it to survive in the modern NBA. One clings to his favorites and pursues plans that do not suit the personnel (especially in defense). Because of the management and coaching decision-makers, the players are tired, are in a persistent shooting slump, and are quickly sinking into a Western Conference that really needs every win possible to survive – all while having the second-easiest start to the season Play schedule.

I don’t claim to be a big stats guy, but this team’s shortcomings are so predictable that last game I literally said, “They attempt the fewest shots in the NBA and also run at the slowest pace, but they attempt the seventh.” .” the most three-pointers and hit them with the eighth best rate. Almost half of their shots come from deep and they hit them at a rate of 37.6%. That’s the ball game here. Kings don’t guard it well, Nets love to take them. Guard the line or die.”

The Kings have died, destroying any enthusiasm for this season.

OKC is a great team, built with intent and purpose by a great GM, strengthened by good ownership, and has a great coach who is right on the same page as management. What the kings speak of ARE the thunders. That doesn’t bode well for tonight.

I’m done for today: read Tim Maxwell’s article later today, I’ll co-sign everything he has to say there, and I’ve only read the title.

forecast

Kings shock their opponents and fans alike, playing competent basketball against a team riddled with injuries.

Kings:121, Thunder:120
