Jodie Turner-Smith is embracing the tights-as-pants trend for the holidays

Jodie Turner-Smith’s experimental style just keeps getting better.

The actress went to a press day in New York City this Tuesday and got into the holiday spirit with her look. The fit, consisting of jet black and snow white basics, was a modern take on classic winter wear. Above, Turner-Smith wore a fluffy black sweater, which she layered under a cozy floor-length ivory coat. Timeless.

For her bottoms, however, she chose a much sharper combination: She ditched trousers in favor of matte white Calzedonia tights, which she wore underneath silky cream-colored panties with a floral appliqué on one side.

She completed the cool look with shiny black pointed-toe heels and a boxy white leather handbag by Brandon Blackwood. The actor also wore black oval sunglasses, small gold hoop earrings and several rings. Turner-Smith wore the look for an appearance at the Today show. She is currently promoting her spy drama The agencywhich was co-produced by George Clooney and premieres November 29th.

Later in the day, Turner-Smith changed into a completely different outfit for a separate engagement. She then embraced construction core in a pair of beige workwear-inspired pants and more. Ruffled top in the same shade of brown and a super short ivory leather jacket decorated with zippers all over. She completed the look with pointed black heels and a tan crossbody bag with a gold chain strap. The entire ensemble was kindly provided by Burberry.
