Jay Leno is still recovering after falling 18 meters. down a hill.

On Thursday, November 21st, first The Tonight Show The host went to lunch in Los Angeles and was photographed with visible injuries on his face. The 74-year-old was staying at a hotel outside Pittsburgh before an evening show on Saturday when the accident occurred.

The hotel was at the top of a hill and he fell while trying to walk to a nearby restaurant. “To get there I didn’t have a car, so I had to walk about a mile and a half. I said, “Well, the hill doesn’t look that steep.” It’s about 60-70 feet. “Let me see if I can go down the hill,” he recalled.

“I fell. Boom, boom, boom. I rolled down the hill, hit my head on a rock and hit myself in the eye,” he told TMZ.

Leno later told Inside Edition that he broke his wrist, lost a fingernail and injured the entire left side of his body. He also wore an eye patch, revealing that his eye was swollen shut from the fall and his face was black and blue.

The comedian said he finished his show at Yaamava’ Casino in Southern California several hours later and waited until he was back in Los Angeles to seek medical attention.

“The great thing about this age is that you don’t learn from mistakes, you just do the same stupid thing over and over again,” he joked, referring to his burn accident in 2022.

In November 2022, Leno was working on a steam engine under a car in his garage when a gasoline fire broke out. He was taken to the Grossman Burn Center after suffering second- and third-degree burns to his face, chest and hands from the flames.

He underwent a series of surgical excision and transplant procedures for his burns and was discharged from the prestigious facility after a 10-day stay.
