The North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball team will play the Michigan State Spartans in the third-place game of the Maui Invitational at the Lahaina Civic Center in Hawaii on Wednesday night (9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2).

The 12th-ranked Tar Heels (4-2) were overwhelmed in their semifinal loss to No. 4 Auburn (6-0) and will look to put together an overall performance against the Spartans (5-2) before heading to Chapel Hill return.
