Here’s how to get Fortnite’s free Juice WRLD skin, live now, so to speak

Ahead of the Juice WRLD Tribute Concert this Saturday, Fortnite is giving away a free Juice WRLD Slayer skin, as well as back blings, a pickaxe, and a wallpaper that you can claim immediately. Well, you can claim If you use it, you can’t really use it. Yes, it’s strange.

For some reason, Fortnite has set this up so that if you log in now, you’ll be eligible for the Juice WRLD skin, which will then be delivered to you the next day. In this case, if you log in now, it will appear tomorrow when you log in again.

This offer is available for five days until Saturday, November 30th at 10:00 PM ET. After that, you will no longer be able to obtain it and it is unknown if it will be sold at some point in the future.

It’s very strange that they do it this way instead of just giving it to players upon login. I have no idea what the plan is or why they would distribute it this way, but for those who knew the skin is dropping today, November 25th, I can understand why you are confused. As far as I can tell, when you log in there’s not even a hint that you’re now eligible for next day skin delivery.

This is one of two Juice WRLD skins releasing for the event taking place on Saturday, November 30th at 2:00 p.m. ET. The other one is sold in the shop and is not a cell shaded version, but one that looks like the giant Juice WRLD that you can already see on the map. I wonder where the profits from this skin go, hopefully to his family? It’s certainly an unusual situation, but this is how Fortnite presented the show when it was announced for the Remix Finale:

“Chapter 2 Remix ends on a special note – experience the live event Remix: The Finale on November 30th at 2:00 pm ET! To honor Juice’s legacy and love for Fortnite, all players who log in between 1 a.m. ET on November 30th and 1 a.m. ET on December 1st will receive the cel-shaded Slayer Juice WRLD outfit*. Stay tuned for more details on celebrating Juice WRLD and Remix: The Finale later this month.”

As you can see, this old blog post states that the Slayer skin was supposed to ship same day, but Epic says it has since switched to this five-day login system. This seems a bit like a cluster, but the point is, if you log in now you’ll get the skin. Just not at this moment.
