Now, following the expiration of his groundbreaking contract, he has resumed broadcasting on Twitch. This decision is a reminder that the era of exclusive streamer contracts is finally over.

DrDisrespect is ready to rumble. The disgraced streamer and the right-wing platform are strange bedfellows, but the time was right for their partnership. DrDisrespect needed a new home and Rumble is booming after Donald Trump’s re-election. Something tells me it’s going to be someone named Disrespect directly at home amid a community obsessed with free expression.

Platform headlines

Susan Wojcicki has a final message for YouTube. The death of YouTube’s former CEO in August 2024 sent shockwaves across the YouTuber landscape. Even after Wojcicki was diagnosed with lung cancer, she wrote a posthumous post in hopes of raising awareness about her deadly disease. Wojcicki’s philanthropic spirit and big heart survive her, even as the YouTube world already misses her dearly.

LinkedIn is discontinuing its Clubhouse clone. Audio-based chat rooms that thrived at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic are gradually being shut down. The latest casualty is LinkedIn’s audio events, which were once a staple of the platform’s Creator Mode but are now a thing of the past.

Netflix advertises Cobra Kai in Roblox. First the stars of the Karate kid The sequel appeared during the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Now they can be found in the kid-friendly world of Roblox. If I were Netflix, my next sponsorship would be a collaboration with “Cobra” Kai Cenat.
