Hailee Steinfeld And Josh Allen are engaged.

The 27-year-old actress said “yes” to the 28-year-old NFL star in a waterfront proposal on Friday, November 22.

The couple announced the news on Friday, November 29, with an Instagram post showing the moment of their engagement. Allen proposed on one knee in front of a floral arch at sunset. The snap showed Steinfeld kissing her new fiancé.

The couple were first linked when they were spotted together in New York City in May 2023, shortly after Allen ended his eight-year relationship with his girlfriend Brittany Williams.

In June 2023, a source exclusively shared Us weekly that the courtship between Allen and Steinfeld “went really great,” adding, “(They) laugh a lot when they’re together (and) are always smiling.”

While they largely kept their romance out of the spotlight, Allen publicly acknowledged his relationship status in August 2023 when asked about his reaction to being photographed with Steinfeld on vacation. “The fact that anyone cares about this still drives me nuts,” he said on the “Pardon My Take” podcast.

Steinfeld was later seen shopping with his mother and showing his support for her boyfriend at a Buffalo Bills game in October 2023. That same month, she and the quarterback met for a rare date night at a Buffalo Sabers NHL game against the New York Rangers.

In March, fans got a candid look at the couple when Allen suffered a hilarious wardrobe malfunction with Steinfeld at Paris Fashion Week.

“My pants ripped at dinner 😟🤣,” he wrote on X at the time. “I didn’t mean to stick out my cheeks… I love Paris 😁.”

The couple later made a cute cameo in a video of their pregnant older sister Nicala Madden‘s sex reveal party. “I’m Josh,” Allen explained in the TikTok, which featured several family members and friends predicting the baby’s gender. “I’m Hailee,” Steinfeld joked, before correctly guessing that Allen would be getting a new nephew.

Before their engagement, Steinfeld ruled out speculation the athlete had made after she was spotted wearing a diamond ring.

“A cute little deer actually happened to me,” she said E! News While showing off her jewelry at the 2024 Golden Globes, she shared a subtle update on the duo’s relationship. “No particular reason other than I thought it was really cute.”

When asked what she likes most about dating an athlete, Steinfeld quipped, “Listen, what’s not it about? Come on now.”
