According to the leaks so far, Chapter 6’s first season island appears to be heavily inspired by Japanese mythology, meaning there will be plenty of temples, samurai bosses, and weapons like katana.

Surprisingly, boss fights will play a big role and there is speculation that we will see them dueling with mythical blades. These blades are expected to be significantly different from the cyberpunk-themed Kinetic Katanas.

There will also be a huge forest region where there will be a groundbreaking day and night mechanic. Unique animals and NPCs roam around during the day, while the environment changes completely at night.

Return of medallions and expansions

Leaks also suggest that the medallions will return, but will be less groundbreaking than in Chapter 5. Meanwhile, Reality Augments make a surprise return, although they may no longer work in the same way as before.

Finally, Fortnite is bringing back OG mode starting December 6th. Players can relive the original map, loot, and seasons from Chapter 1. Over time, Epic will update this mode to progress through the islands and events of the first chapter.

Shortly afterwards, the eagerly awaited Winter Festival 2024 is scheduled to begin on December 10th. The best part is that it will include the popular Winterfest Cabin, which was missing from last year’s event.
