Former WWE champion “longs” for Hollywood success like Dave Bautista

This former champion wants to be successful in Hollywood like Dave Bautista.

Hollywood and WWE are often remembered quite synchronously. Over the years, several superstars have made the leap to Hollywood and established themselves as some of the industry’s biggest names. Top names like The Rock, John Cena and Batista are known for both their wrestling and Hollywood accolades.

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Titus O’Neil wanted to pursue a similar path and expressed his desire in his recent interview on The Business of the Business podcast. O’Neil discussed the possibility of a wrestling comeback, stating that while he wanted to return to wrestling, he wanted a successful Hollywood career.

I’m itching to get back in the ring, I love the competition. I love to entertain, but as I’ve said in previous interviews, if there’s an opportunity that works well for me, we’ll definitely do it, but I’m literally gearing up for two or three more film projects make. I have already worked on two film projects that will be released in 2025. I want a high level of success in Hollywood, just like my WWE colleagues who have taken this leap, including one of my best friends who got me into the business, Dave Bautista.

I’m really excited about this process. I have some great people to follow, I have some great people to lean on, namely John Cena and Dave Bautista, to ask me questions and get me the best practices to help me on this journey, all the way like I pick the minds of many When it comes to wrestling veterans, I do the same thing and luckily I have a lot of people who are already in Hollywood and are friends of mine who can kind of help me out to further develop this journey.”

The first 24/7 Champion recently completed a few film projects that are scheduled to be released in 2025 and wants to enter this profession. Inspired by Bautista’s success, O’Neil is interested in this process and believes he has great friends to lean on and accept help from.

The “Titus Worldwide” leader was most recently involved in a loss to Bobby Lashley on the November 9, 2020 edition of Raw.

After incredible success in professional wrestling, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor left the Stamford-based promotion to try his hand at Hollywood. Shortly after entering the film industry, Bautista was involved in several lucrative projects.

During an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Dave Bautista hilariously shared how his mother thought he was “crazy” after making this big career change.

So I was raised by a single mother. Yes, grew up with a single mother. I was such an introverted kid when I started professional wrestling. My mother, my whole family, they couldn’t believe it because I was such a shy person.

When I left professional wrestling, I said, “Mom, you know, because I was really at the top.” I was like, “Mom, I think I’m going to quit professional wrestling.” I really want to pursue acting. She said you’re crazy. I said, but you know, it’s really what I want to do. But my mother is my biggest fan and we are very close.”

In other news, the WWE Hall of Famer’s son has revealed that wrestling is his second career plan.
