David Pollack took to social media to share an interesting take on the Texas Longhorns heading into the College Football Playoff race. On X (formerly known as Twitter), he shared, “Texas is not flashy.”

In the 25-second clip shared on the platform, he explains that Texas is not a “blast offense.” They say they don’t have the speed that head coach Steve Sarkisian can “play” at. He noted that Texas lacked consistency and explained that Quinn Ewers was good but didn’t necessarily make a splash. He shared that he thinks Texas is the type of team that can “put some games together.” He said Texas could “win the College Football Playoff.”

David Pollack is a former NFL linebacker and college football analyst. He was a University of Georgia standout, a three-time All-American and recorded 36 sacks in his career, ranking third in NCAA history. Pollack won accolades as the nation’s top defensive player and was selected in the first round by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2005 NFL Draft. His NFL career was cut short by a neck injury in his second season. He served as a college football analyst for ESPN from 2011 to 2023.
