Former actress having a baby with stepbrother responds to critics of her controversial relationship – Celebrity

Sharing your life online is an easy way to face backlash, and Scarlet Vas is no stranger to critics due to her unconventional relationship.

Scarlet Vas was previously an actress on the popular Australian soap TV show Neighbors before turning to OnlyFans to create content.

But that is not the reason for the controversy surrounding her.

On social media, Vas has been pretty open about her relationship with her stepbrother and the couple even got married in 2023.

She recently announced that she and her husband Tayo Ricci would be welcoming a new person into their family, a baby girl, as Vas is pregnant.

Her OnlyFans collaboration is with Ricci and the couple is very aware of the controversy their relationship has sparked.

In a now-viral clip, Vas said: “I fell in love with my boyfriend’s best friend… who happens to be my stepbrother.”

As you can imagine, that sentence alone is enough to raise a few eyebrows and receive some very critical comments.

And the couple have continued to address the controversial nature of their relationship – supposedly in-law rather than blood siblings – in social media posts.

One wrote: “Ngl this is kinda weird.”

Another commented: “Stepbrother, stepsister and married 😂 wtf.”

Another asked: “Brother who would marry his stepbrother.”

Vas has previously addressed her critics and indicated that she doesn’t care too much about their comments.

In another video, the former actress also asks her stepbrother what he would like to spend his last day on earth doing, to which he replied: “You, I would get you pregnant.”

“Um, you’re my stepbrother, that’s kind of fucked up,” Vas replied.

Ricci replied, “Why are you laughing? I know what I want and I get what I want.”

“I think everyone is shaming us online for being in love… it doesn’t matter if we have the same mother.”

Despite previous critical comments, they received support after announcing on Instagram that the couple was expecting a baby.

Vas also uploaded a video compilation showing the couple walking down the aisle after the wedding and posing in the sunset a year later. As the video continues, we see Ricci kneeling on Vas’ stomach as the pregnancy test displays the results.

The post continues to show the couple in an ultrasound room, the baby’s heartbeat in the background, and another video of Ricci kissing Vas’ belly.
