Unai Emery has confirmed that Ezri Konsa and Boubacar Kamara will be available for Aston Villa’s Champions League game against Juventus on Wednesday.

Konsa (hip) and Kamara (thigh) missed Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace due to injury. Emery hoped the pair would return for the visit of Juventus, with both Konsa and Kamara back in training this week.

Meanwhile, Jacob Ramsey and Amadou Onana remain unavailable. The athlete reported earlier this month that Ramsey is expected to miss a few weeks with a hamstring injury, while Onana suffered a foot injury while on international duty with Belgium.

Despite a poor performance in their last appearance in Europe – a 1-0 defeat to Club Brugge – Villa are well placed in the Champions League table and are currently in eighth place.

Emery believes a win would boost their hopes of qualifying in the top eight and reaching the last 16.

“Even if we don’t win, it’s good to get a point because our goal is to get to the next round,” he said. “If we have the opportunity to get into the top eight we will try to achieve it and if we win tomorrow maybe we can do it. But Juventus are favorites to finish in the top eight and beat us.”
