Barbie Ferreira, a star of Netflix hit Euphoria, has shocked social media with pictures of her incredible weight loss.

In a photo recently posted online, a noticeably thinner Ferreira is seen posing in the mirror, adding to speculation that she may have diabetes Drug Ozempic as an aid to weight loss.

Fans were quick to point out the noticeable differences in the 27-year-old actress’ body shape when comparing the recent snap to pictures of her from a few years ago.

It remains unclear whether Ferreira actually took Ozempic, Mounjaro or Wegovy, the specific weight-loss drug that contains the same active ingredient, semaglutide.

Sources close to the star, who played Kat Hernandez in the HBO drama, have previously claimed that she lost weight to show the world that she was determined to succeed in the industry after leaving Euphoria.

“Since leaving Euphoria, opportunities for Barbie have dried up and she knew reinvention was necessary to maintain longevity,” sources told MailOnline’s sister publication, DailyMail.com.

An HBO representative told The Independent: “Euphoria goes into production in 2025. Nothing has changed.”

The teen drama series has been a huge hit with fans and critics since its launch in 2019 and its sequel has brought relief to fans.

Euphoria has also proven to be a career launcher for several cast members, including Jacob and Sydney, who recently admitted she loved playing the role of troubled teenager Cassie Howard.
