Ben Affleck bonds with ex-wife Jennifer Garner on Thanksgiving while Jennifer Lopez goes through divorce: ‘He’s very happy’ “You could hear the bang, bang, bang,” witnesses recall of their experiences during the Park Plaza Mall shooting

The Detroit Lions are looking to take an extended break on Thanksgiving after losing their last seven games on the holiday. Their opponent this year is the struggling Chicago Bears, who have lost five games in a row.

The Bears have a rookie quarterback in Caleb Williams, which puts the Lions’ defense to a new test. Considering how well the Lions have managed to overwhelm their opponents, they could be able to get to Williams and force turnovers.

Chicago’s defense also poses problems for the Lions, as the defensive line could fall to Jared Goff. This is accelerated by the fact that Taylor Decker has been ruled out, leaving the Lions without their starting left tackle.

The last time Decker missed a game was in Week 10, when he missed the Texans game and Goff threw five interceptions.

As a result, Thursday’s game could be a sloppy game with several turnovers. PlayiLottery lead writer Drew Ellis expects the total number of turnovers in Thursday’s game to exceed 2.5, which is currently at odds (+105) at Draft Kings Sportsbook.

“It’s a short week and the Lions are banged up. Taylor Decker is out, and the last time that happened was against the Houston Texans. In that game, the Lions had five interceptions by Jared Goff,” Ellis told Lions OnSI. “I think Chicago is a defense that can put pressure on Goff, especially with Decker out. Unfortunately, this will probably lead to some ball losses. On the other hand, Detroit was good at creating turnovers. Caleb Williams likes to stick with it.” Football, being the most sacked player in the league, his desire to make a play could result in strip sacks or interceptions. For that reason I think this is an ugly game and expect a lot of turnovers on Thursday.”
