Decision made: Striker rejects offers due to transfer interest from Arsenal and Manchester United

Viktor Gyokere has reportedly turned down approaches from Arsenal and Manchester United as he could become a top target for Barcelona instead.

The Sweden international is apparently in no rush to accept the chance of a move to the Premier League as he waits for the right project for him, which has put Barca on alert, according to a report from El Nacional.

According to El Nacional’s report, it’s easy to see why clubs like Arsenal and Man United were interested, but it seems Gyokeres isn’t fully convinced by either club at the moment.

Barcelona are said to be admirers of the 26-year-old and this could be a smart deal for the Catalan giants as they will surely soon need a long-term successor to the aging Robert Lewandowski.

Is Viktor Gyokeres right to snub Arsenal and United?

Gyokeres certainly looks like a hit in the Premier League and he would probably have no problems being a regular starter at Arsenal or United.

The Gunners could do with an upgrade in Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, who aren’t really productive and are absolute No.9s, while Ruben Amorim has inherited a struggling Red Devils side that certainly needs improvements in failing young strikers Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund .

Still, it would be risky for Gyokeres to opt for the United project at the moment, even if it gave him the chance to work with Amorim again, as MUFC is still in a transition phase and struggling to keep up like before.

Arsenal, on the other hand, may be showing some signs of decline this season after coming so close to winning the title for the last two years in a row. There is still no guarantee that we will win silver at the Emirates Stadium.
