Cynthia Erivo talks love affair with “stripper heels” and shows off “crazy” green Christian Louboutin boots on The Jennifer Hudson Show

Cynthia Erivo gave her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show a stylish business look with a pair of bright teal Christian Louboutin boots, one of the few green accents in homage to her Wicked character Elphaba.

Erivo wore a gray and black pinstripe suit with mini shorts, an oversized blazer and a loosely knotted tie, all with the same pattern. A classic white collared shirt formed the basis of the look. Erivo’s Elphaba nods included green earrings, shimmery green eyeshadow, and of course her Louboutin boots. Alongside Ariana Grande, Erivo dressed fashionably while promoting “Wicked,” which hit theaters on November 22nd to great success at the box office.

The platform shoes come in a jewel-tone shade of green and feature a calf-length zippered shaft and a high stiletto heel. The boots appeared to be made of suede, giving her outfit a soft, matte aesthetic. Louboutin’s signature red sole colored the bottom of the shoe.

Among other things, Erivo discussed her shoe preferences with Hudson.

Hudson told her guest and former Broadway “The Color Purple” co-star, “Let’s talk about your shoe game. Apparently you love – I didn’t know this – you love stripper heels.”

Erivo replied: “I do because they are really high and also extremely comfortable. There’s a really cool brand called Pleasers that makes stripper shoes. They’re meant for pole dancing, but you can walk in them and they’re really high. As you can see, I like high heels.”

She continued: “The wonderful thing about this particular brand is that it comes in many different colors. So I can have the same boot that I know is comfortable or the same shoe that I know is comfortable and I can wear the heels and they can be a lot of different colors. That’s it really. But I love any high heel, I really do.”

“You do them well, you look fabulous, so I’m not mad at you. She’s got the legs for it,” Hudson said.

Erivo definitely showed her love for heels during the Wicked press tour. See more of the shoes she wore while promoting the film below.
