Class 6A regional semifinal predictions

Round 3 of the state football playoffs is here. As for the Austin area, Westlake, Lake Travis and Vandegrift are still playing. Here’s an interesting note. If Westlake and Lake Travis win, they will play each other in the fourth round next week for the second straight year.

The Statesman predicts every game in Texas’ biggest divisions. Last year, the Dallas-area programs Duncanville and DeSoto won Class 6A Division I and Division II titles, respectively. Aledo, outside Fort Worth, won 5A Division I and Port Neches-Groves, which is about 20 miles from the Louisiana border away, won 5A Division II.
