Browns agent Mike Vrabel has a major television appearance scheduled next week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Browns consultant Mike Vrabel, likely one of the hottest names on the market when the league’s coaching carousel begins, will appear on the Manningcast this week during Monday Night Football.

Vrabel will appear alongside hosts Peyton and Eli Manning, as well as former Patriots coach Bill Belichick, a featured guest on the Manningcast throughout the season, on the alternate broadcast airing during select Monday night games on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

Belichick could also look to head back to the sidelines next season as he hunts for the league’s winning record.

The Chargers host the Ravens on Monday night, two teams Vrabel is familiar with as the Browns have played both of them this season.

A native of Northeast Ohio, Vrabel was fired last January after six seasons with the Titans and, after failing to get another head coaching job, joined the Browns this season as a coach and personnel consultant.

Vrabel has been a visible presence during Browns practices and, more recently, games. He was on the sidelines wearing an earpiece and did so for the first time last Sunday in New Orleans.

“Vrabes is involved in a lot of our activities,” head coach Kevin Stefanski said earlier this week. “He attends home games, he was able to come to this one. He listens to the conversations with us. He’s a great resource for me on game days Monday through Friday, so he’ll continue to do that.”

Vrabel, 49, had a 54-45 record with the Titans and appeared in three playoff games, including a trip to the AFC Championship Game in 2019. He was named Coach of the Year in 2021.

He earned a reputation as a shrewd tactician and had a penchant for making sometimes undermanned Tennessee teams punch above their weight.

Vrabel is a former player and three-time Super Bowl champion who played high school football at Walsh Jesuit in Cuyahoga Falls.

His appearance on the Manningcast will put him back in the national spotlight and likely provide the impetus for his attempt to get back into coaching.
