Bears Safety: Jonathan Owens honors his wife Simone Biles with a gymnastics celebration

Bears safety Jonathan Owens celebrated his fumble recovery Sunday afternoon with a gymnastics-style celebration honoring his wife, Simone Biles.

Owens forced a Vikings fumble at the 1-yard line and recovered it at the 2-yard line. He posted with both arms in the air like a gymnast would.

Biles, the greatest gymnast in history, was in attendance. She was wearing a blue jacket with “Owens” written on the front. The Bears included her in their halftime honors; They featured Olympic medalists from across the state and had Biles running out of the tunnel last.

Owens said after the game that the Bears talk about getting “four-point games” — turning a touchdown into a field goal.

“It really became a seven-point game because it kept them out of the end zone. …” he said. “I’m like, ‘Make a play, man.'”

Owens started his first game of the season, replacing Eliah Hicks, who replaced Jaquan Brisker, who was suffering from a concussion.
