The Dark Knight returns…again

Batman: Arkham Origins is woefully underrated, and while I’d love to talk for hours about why it’s better than some claim, unfortunately that’s a task for another time.

But if you are one of the fans who know firsthand how good this is Batman: Arkham Asylum Prequel is actually such that you will be happy to know that you can experience it again in a whole new way.

Batman: Arkham Origins is a sort of origin story for our Dark Knight, I say because he’s already been Batman for about two years, and while he’s managed to strike fear into the hearts of criminals, he’s not the symbol of justice that he is has needs to be.

Like every other Arkham game, Bruce goes through hell, and the new Vengeance Overhaul mod makes it even harder for our caped crusader.

Created by GPUnity and perfectly showcased by a recent YouTube video, the Vengeance Overhaul mod makes several changes Arkham Origins to provide a more sophisticated experience.

Enemies and bosses have been reworked to make them more combative, making the new permadeath mode even more exciting. Batman may be a master fighter, but his enemies can still ambush him from time to time, meaning any mistake in this new mode could be your last.

However, the best change in my opinion is the ability to glide faster than traverse Batman: Arkham Origins is honestly my biggest criticism of the game and I think many people will agree with me.

Vengeance Overhaul is a complete game changer, and while it may not be for everyone, I think the hardcore fans out there will really enjoy the increased challenge. Plus, it’s free on NexusMods. So what’s the harm in trying it?
