Earlier this month we informed you about a graphics mod for Batman: Arkham Origins. This mod, created by modder GPUnity, aimed to slightly improve the game’s graphics. And today we have another mod that will significantly increase the difficulty of the game.

This Vengeance difficulty mod is intended for those who have already beaten the game and are looking for an additional challenge. This is not intended for use on your first playthrough. So make sure you only use it if you are completely familiar with the game’s combat mechanics.

If we delve deeper, the mod brings a number of gameplay tweaks and changes. Additionally, it makes enemies more dangerous and intelligent. The campaign bosses are also being overhauled.

You can download the mod from this link. At the end of the article you will also find a video about it. This video will give you an idea of what to expect from it. So be sure to check it out.

GPUnity has also created mods for almost all other Batman: Arkham games. For example, last month we talked about the final version of his mod for Batman: Arkham Asylum, which adds 4K textures to the game. There is a similar mod for Batman: Arkham City called Arkham City Redux. This mod adds, among other things, support for DirectX 11. You can also download the Ascension mod for Arkham City. This mod changes the upgrade system, optimizes combat and enemy AI, and adds new difficulty options.

So if you plan to replay those old Batman: Arkham games, I recommend you do it with these mods. These are currently the best mods for these games.

But wait. There are mods for the first three Batman: Arkham games, but what about Batman: Arkham Knight? Well, GPUnity is currently working on an Insane Difficulty mod for it. However, there are no plans for a 4K texture pack for it. This is a bummer. However, Arkham Knight still looks great on PC despite its vanilla textures. I played it recently and I can tell you that it still holds up. And contrary to what everyone says, the Batmobile sections didn’t really annoy me.

Have fun and stay tuned for more!
