Based on the latest data, the front is expected to move through during the afternoon and evening. Scattered showers and possibly even a thunderstorm or two could develop. The front will be strong enough and there will be favorable winds in the upper atmosphere for some strong storms to develop in the Carolinas. Right now, any strong or severe storms appear to be very isolated, and there is a Level 1 severe weather risk for Thursday across most of the Carolinas, including the Grand Strand and Pee Dee.

Black Friday shoppers will be greeted with temperatures around 40°C, but winds can be expected to top 30°C. Although skies will clear on Friday, temperatures will remain cool and afternoon highs will only reach the mid 50s.
