Lambeau Field in late November is no place for (Miami) dolphins.

Coach Mike McDaniel’s team put in woeful performances on both sides as they battled 20-degree temperatures in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in a 30-17 loss to the Packers on Thanksgiving night.

“I feel like we left the way we played up to the elements,” Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks told reporters after the game.

Reporters then pointed out to Brooks that the Dolphins missed 20 tackles during the game, which didn’t surprise their star linebacker.

“I thought we were soft,” Brooks added. “I don’t know if the boys were too cold. I don’t know what it was. I felt like the elements played a role in how we played as a group and those were the results we got.”

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has had a career full of struggles in cold weather, starting Thursday 0-7 in games played in temperatures below 45 degrees.

The Hawaii-born quarterback also posted poor stats in those games, throwing eight touchdowns to ten interceptions with a passer rating of 71.13.

In his other 54 games played, Tagovailoa put up excellent numbers: 87 touchdowns, 32 interceptions and a much better passer rating of 101.35.

Statistically, Tagovailoa played well on Thanksgiving, recording 365 passing yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions (114.2 passer rating).

Miami lost badly in the first half, trailing 24-3 at halftime and eventually falling behind by 24 points before playing slightly better in the second half.

The loss ended a three-game winning streak and significantly hurt Miami’s playoff chances.

Miami is chasing the Broncos (7-5) for the final AFC wild card spot.
