Chance of rain or snow in the Hudson Valley; This weekend is the coldest part of the season

Feel a slight chill in the air today, but it will turn colder tomorrow, with a continued period of high temperatures in the upper 30s to low 40s through early December next week.

After what I hope was a lovely Thanksgiving for everyone, drier but colder weather awaits us as December begins next week.

Today will be a decent day, but there may be a passing flurry of snow or rain in the afternoon. It will be windy and chilly with highs in the mid 40s.

It will be much colder tomorrow. Highs will drop to around 40 degrees, but it may feel about 10 degrees colder at times with a 10 to 20 mph breeze again. This also applies to Sunday and the entire weekend will remain dry.

The first week of December starts dry and cool on Monday and Tuesday. There is a chance of mixed snow and rain showers from Wednesday evening into early Thursday next week. Otherwise, the week looks dry and highs will stay in the upper 30s to low 40s at best through next weekend.

TODAY: A mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid to upper 40s. A temporary snow or rain shower may occur at any time during the afternoon. Windy and cool with a westerly wind around 10-20 mph.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

SATURDAY: Mainly sunny to partly cloudy. Airy and colder. Highs will be around 40°C, but wind chills will be below 30°C at times. Lows will be in the mid to upper 20s.

SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. Airy. Highs will be in the 40s. Lows will be in the mid to upper 20s.

MONDAY: Sun and clouds with highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Lows near the upper 20s.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny and cool with highs around 40°C. Lowest temperatures are in the mid to upper 20°C.

WEDNESDAY: A mix of sun and clouds with a chance for some mixed snow and rain showers in the evening and overnight. Highs in the 40s. Lows in the upper 20s.

THURSDAY: Any mixed rain and snow showers will end in the early to mid morning hours. Highs will be around 40. Lows will be in the upper 20s to low 30s.
