Ben Affleck shares Thanksgiving meals with ex Jennifer Garner

Ben Affleck and ex-wife Jennifer Garner reunited on Thursday to serve Thanksgiving meals to those in need.

The former couple were joined by fellow actors Sarah Paulson and Amanda Peet as they handed out food and volunteered at The Midnight Mission shelter in downtown Los Angeles.

Photos and videos from the day were shared by various accounts on Instagram. This included the shelter’s account thanking Affleck and Garner for all their hard work by uploading a photo of the two actors alongside The Midnight Mission CEO David Prentice.

“Today we had the honor of welcoming Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner to The Midnight Mission for Thanksgiving! Your kindness, warmth and dedication have brought so much joy to our Skid Row community,” the post’s caption reads.

“Thank you, Ben and Jennifer, for serving meals and sharing smiles on this special day. Your compassion reminds us all of the true meaning of Thanksgiving – coming together to support one another.”

Newsweek emailed reps for Affleck and Garner outside of normal business hours on Friday seeking comment.

A Paulson fan account also shared footage from that day, including a photo of her standing next to Affleck and Garner. Two videos were also uploaded, one of Paulson and Peet preparing to hand out food and the other of Affleck, Garner and Paulson taking a photo together.

“Sarah Paulson spent Thanksgiving giving! Along with Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck and her best friend Amanda Peet! “They volunteered today and served free meals to LA’s homeless community, organized by The Midnight Mission,” the caption reads.

Affleck and Garner were accompanied by their children for the occasion.

This is Affleck’s first Thanksgiving since Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce in August, on their second wedding anniversary.

The 13 Next 30 actors and the Hunting for goodwill star were married from 2005 to 2015, the year they announced their separation. Three years later they finalized their divorce.

The former couple has three children together: Violet (18), Fin (15) and Samuel (12).

Violet made headlines in July after giving an impassioned speech at a regular meeting of the LA County Board of Supervisors. In her rare public appearance, Violet spoke about the importance of the availability of masks and other methods to maintain public safety amid COVID-19.

In photos obtained from Page six and released on September 27, Affleck and Fin were spotted outside a Spirit Halloween store in Los Angeles ahead of Halloween.

On November 10, Affleck and Samuel grabbed courtside seats at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles to watch the Lakers defeat the Toronto Raptors 123-103. This was a rare public appearance for the father-son duo.

Over the years, Affleck and Garner have tried to keep their children away from the spotlight, especially from the paparazzi. In 2013, Garner joined a group of celebrity parents led by Halle Berry to support a law banning paparazzi images of children without consent.
