When Donald Trump appeared on JRE episode #2219, people were already surprised. Finally, Joe Rogan had previously claimed that he was not a Trump supporter and did not want him at JRE. When the billionaire businessman appeared on the podcast as part of his 2024 presidential campaign, people felt that Rogan was changing his previous stance and turning to Trump. Have social media users found more evidence to confirm this?

Well, in episode #2234, Rogan hosted a businessman Marc Andreessen. This was his third time at JRE, but the first time he was fully focused on MAGA. While the duo discussed, among other things, Silicon Valley and the US food system, the conversation also turned to politics. As The San Francisco Standard reported, Andreessen explained that this was the case “very happy” with the result of the presidential election. Actually, Andreessen, who donated $2.5 million to the pro-Trump Right for America PAC, also stated: “(It’s) morning in America.” He and his business partner Ben Horowitz expressed their support for Trump in July.

Furthermore, in his conversation with Joe Rogan, he said: Andreessen addressed and called the assassination attempt on Trump in July “The most conspicuous display of physical bravery I have ever seen.” Had it been successful, “It could have been terribly bad for the whole world.”

The episode racked up more than a million views on YouTube in just over 24 hours, and that seems to be the case Andreessen’s MAGA discussion was not well received by many fans. When Rogan announced his episode with Marc Andreessen, he wrote on Instagram: “One of the most brilliant people I’ve been lucky enough to talk to. Marc explained some truly shocking details about how individuals are being “unbanked” with the wrong policies and how certain regulations are in place to allow the government to have complete control over companies they deem important. Really eye-opening stuff.” But here’s a twist.

Andreessen was a former Democrat and supported the likes of Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry and Barack Obama. When Hillary Clinton failed to win the 2016 election, the businessman was actually sad. He voted for her. But when he decided to support Trump instead of Kamala Harris this year, he saw doors slammed in his face in Silicon Valley. “This is actually true: There are now two types of dinner parties in Silicon Valley – they have split neatly in half.” he told Rogan.

Who are the other Silicon Valley figures who supported Trump? The long list includes Elon Musk (CEO of Tesla Motors and SpaceX), David Sacks (Partner at Craft Ventures), Chamath Palihapitiya (Founder of Social Capital), Shaun Maguire and Doug Leone (Partners at Sequoia Capital), Eoghan McCabe (CEO of intercom) and many more.

However, fans felt that Rogan, who had previously tried not to take sides against JRE, leaned towards Trump and did so offended some of them. Let’s not forget that Elon Musk, an ardent Trump supporter, was also on the podcast on November 5th.

Therefore, fans quickly responded with sarcastic comments on the Instagram post. What did they write?

Fans are railing against Joe Rogan for making his podcast too political!

The people who listened to the episode seemed to have strong opinions about it. The figure from Silicon Valley spoke about how Elon Musk spent 18 hours in the office and gave each employee the opportunity to explain for five minutes what they were working on. The podcaster was stunned when he heard about it Effort made by the Tesla founder to ensure that everyone was his employee heard correctly. Still, fans weren’t impressed.

  • “It’s been a long journey, but I don’t believe anything I hear on this show anymore.”
  • “Oh boy! Joe Rogan, the common man’s whisperer, talks to another venture capitalist who was almost certainly recommended to him by JD Vance, Elon or Peter Thiel. Can’t wait to see all the working class issues they address here lol.”

It’s not the first time that the Fans disapproved of a guest Rogans Podcast. Previously, She He didn’t like that Tom Segura was also invited to the show. This avalanche of disapproval was triggered by a series of posts the comedian wrote on X a year before the podcast episode.

In a deleted post he had written: “The lowest levels of the poor get upset, as they have been taught to do, when pointed out about their servant mentality that likes to do as I’m told. They don’t value time because their time is worthless.”

Now criticism is nothing new for the podcaster. He had to deal with this several times. Remember when people accused him of spreading misinformation about JRE? Now many people think that Rogan is losing his neutral stance towards politics.

  • “Right-wing Joe with his right-wing billionaire propaganda.”
  • “JRE is now political.”
