Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner meet for Thanksgiving

Ben Affleck and ex-wife Jennifer Garner were spotted spending Thanksgiving together – and it’s all for a good cause!

The formerly married couple teamed up with the charity Midnight Mission on Thursday, November 28, to feed the homeless community.

Photos shared on social media feature Affleck and Garner, both 52, as well as other celebrities Sarah PaulsonThey, 49, were all smiles as they donned hairnets and rolled up their sleeves to help.

Garner and Affleck, who were married from 2005 to 2018, were accompanied by their three children Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, who also gave up their time to help those less fortunate.

The Midnight Mission was grateful for Garner and Affleck’s support and shared their gratitude on their official Instagram page.

“Today we had the honor of welcoming Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner to The Midnight Mission for Thanksgiving! Your kindness, warmth and dedication have brought so much joy to our Skid Row community,” the post’s caption reads.

“Thank you, Ben and Jennifer, for serving meals and smiling on this special day. Your compassion reminds us all of the true meaning of Thanksgiving – coming together to support one another.”

Affleck and Garner have maintained an amicable relationship since their split almost a decade ago. The actress has supported Affleck through some of his most turbulent times, including his recent divorce Jennifer Lopez55.

“Ben and Jennifer are friends and they have a great co-parenting relationship,” a source said exclusively Us weekly in August.

The two have “a mutual understanding that their children come first,” the insider noted, adding that the exes “also get along very well.”

The insider added that the former couple’s amicable relationship and shared history were helpful as Affleck dealt with his split from Lopez.

“There is a deep level of trust and respect between them,” the source explained, adding that Affleck “has confided in Jen in many ways.”

The insider continued, “Especially lately since things haven’t been going well with J.Lo over the past few months.”

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August, after two years of marriage and months of separation rumors.

The “Let’s Get Loud” singer listed the date of separation as April 26, three months before she and Affleck celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary.

One of the most talked about Hollywood couples of the 21st century, Affleck and Lopez began dating in 2002 when they met on the set of Gigli.

The couple finally called off their final engagement in 2004 and, after a few marriages and divorces, got back together two decades later in 2021. After their reunion, Affleck proposed a second time in April 2022 while Lopez took a bubble bath. Three months later they eloped in Las Vegas.
