According to Pro Football Focus, the Carolina Panthers had some pretty extreme performances in their admirable performance yesterday against the defending Super Bowl champions.

Here are the best and worst grades from the 30-27 loss:

The best of the offense

1. TE Ja’Tavion Sanders: 87.92. QB Bryce Young: 83.93. WR David Moore: 82.44. WR Deven Thompson: 72.05. RT Taylor Moton: 70.7

Young’s overall offensive grade of 83.9 now ranks as his career high. He completed 21 of his 35 throws for a season-high 263 yards and a touchdown.

Sanders led the Panthers with 49 yards rushing before being eliminated in the second quarter. Moore, meanwhile, finished the game with 81 receiving yards (his most since 2020) and a score.

The worst offense

14. TE Tommy Tremble: 53,715. RB Jonathan Brooks: 52,715. TE Feleipe Franks: 52,717. OL Brady Christensen: 47,418. RG Robert Hunt: 46.7

Hunt finished the season with a career low in total offense and a career low in pass blocking (13.3). He was charged with a team-high five pressures.

The best of defense

1. OLB Jadeveon Clowney: 81.32. OLB DJ Wonnum: 75.63. ILB Josey Jewell: 73.14. DL Jonathan Harris: 72.85. CB Caleb Farley: 64.5

Clowney had his best performance as a Panther, recording 1.5 sacks and seven total pressures.

Wonnum scored three pressing attempts of his own after a strong debut in Week 10.

The worst defense

14. ILB Trevin Wallace: 51,215. S Jordan Fuller: 49,416. OLB Cam Gill: 47,417. CB Dane Jackson: 32,918. CB Jaycee Horn: 28.9

Horn’s overall defensive grade of 28.9 and his coverage grade of 27.7 were by far the worst of his four-year career. He allowed eight catches for 83 yards on eight targets and was flagged four times.
