The Western epic “Horizon” is the “most ambitious” film Kevin Costner has ever made

While the future of Horizon: An American Saga hangs in the balance, Kevin Costner looks back on the frustrating journey of bringing his original western saga to the big screen, and he described it as one of the most painful experiences of his entire career. Costner wore many hats for horizon (as well as his cowboy hat), as the Dances with wolves Star wrote, directed, produced and starred in the film and its unreleased sequel. This makes him feel closely connected to the citizens who want to found the city horizon.

Will Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 ever be released?

Cale Glendening’s photography book features stunning photos of Costner and the cast (Sam Worthington, Sienna Miller, Abbey Lee, Jamie Campbell Bower, Michael Rooker and more) behind the scenes during production. Costner recently shared one of the photos on Instagram. In the foreword, Costner also addressed the controversy surrounding the film’s portrayal of Native Americans.horizon was criticized for portraying the White Mountain Apaches in a negative light. But Costner said he aimed to tell everyone’s story equally and unbiasedly. He wrote:

“I wanted to tell her story from the perspective of families, friends and enemies, all trying to change her fate. From European settlers to the White Mountain Apaches, from Chinese merchants to Pima cavalry scouts, each wrote their own story and set off for chapters unknown and unknowable.

But after that Chapter 1 bombed at the box office,Chapter 2 was delayed indefinitely. No new date has been announced for the sequel, but Kevin Costner remains confident that audiences will see the film on the big screen. “I’m going to find a way to bring you 3 and 4, because you went to 1, and you’re going to go to 2, and we’re all going to go west together,” the actor said.

Revolving around fictional characters and set in pre- and post-Civil War America, Horizon details the exploration of the American West. The films cover a period of twelve years and consist of an ensemble cast portraying various characters and their experiences as they ventured into new territory away from home.
