Detroit – The Detroit Lions lost two players they can’t afford to lose.

After forcing a second three-pointer early in Thursday’s Thanksgiving Day game against the Chicago Bears, edge rusher Josh Paschal was taken to the locker room with an apparent knee injury and was downgraded to out early in the third quarter. Lions defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike suffered a hamstring injury on one of the final plays of the second quarter and was also downgraded to out early in the third quarter.

Paschal was chasing Bears quarterback Caleb Williams on a third-down play and went awkwardly onto the turf. Trainers briefly examined Paschal’s right knee on the sideline before deciding he needed further evaluation in the locker room.

After forcing a second three-pointer early in Thursday's Thanksgiving Day game against the Chicago Bears, edge rusher Josh Paschal (seen here before the game in Jacksonville) was escorted to the locker room with an apparent knee injury.

He returned to the sideline with a brace on his knee but was not wearing a helmet and sat back on the ensuing defensive possession. Onwuzurike, meanwhile, immediately went to the locker room (there was only time for one or two more plays) but did not return in the second half.
