Upcoming Kia SUV – Syros teased!

We have already seen the upcoming test of the Kia Syros several times. The spy images and the new teasers have already confirmed the model’s new robust design. However, the latest teaser reveals that the Syros will be the third SUV in its segment to feature a panoramic sunroof. Currently, the Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO are the only models to offer this advanced feature.

What else?

The Kia Syros will have a boxy design and will get a new tiger-nose grille on the outside, a vertical LED headlight and DRL unit, as well as a taillight and a connected brake light bar at the rear. Speaking of the interior: the new Syros gets a new dashboard with curved screens for infotainment and instrument cluster. Features on the new model include leatherette upholstery, 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats and more. Talking about safety features, expect six airbags, ABS with EBD, EPS and TPMS as standard. In addition, the new model can be equipped with Level 2 ADAS for greater safety.

Powertrain and price

The upcoming Kia Syros will come with ICE and EV powertrain options. The new model gets a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine with 118 hp and a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 113 hp. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual gearbox, a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed AT gearbox.

Currently, the brand has not yet announced the launch date for the new model. They expect the new model to come onto the market before the new year. In terms of price, the Kia Syros is expected to cost between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 21 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
