Before their match against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Houston Rockets had their standout Jalen Green on the injury report. He was demoted before the matchup due to an illness.

While Green was in danger of missing the match, the Rockets ultimately cleared him. He had a chance to play against the Timberwolves for 23 minutes. It was a quiet night for Green. He scored nine points while shooting 33 percent. He also had three rebounds and two assists.

The Rockets veteran was a name to watch for Wednesday’s game between Houston and the Philadelphia 76ers. Because Green’s status was unclear on the first night of a back-to-back appearance, there may have been concerns about his availability on the second night of the set.

However, the Rockets have no concerns. After the Rockets released their injury report Wednesday afternoon, they did not add Green’s name to the list. Barring any unexpected changes, he will be fine to play against the Sixers on Wednesday night.

During his career, Green appeared against the Sixers six times. During that time, he averaged 22 points, four rebounds and three assists.
When Green faced the Sixers last January, he scored 20 points in just 27 minutes of play.

This season, Green started all 19 games he played. He hasn’t missed a game for the Rockets this year.

In those 19 meetings, Green has scored 18 points per game while shooting 30 percent from distance. He averaged 8.2 three-pointers per game. In addition to his scoring, Green averaged five rebounds and three assists.

The Rockets have been playing a role lately. They have won eight of their last ten games. Heading into Philadelphia, the Rockets have a record of 13-6.

On the other hand, the Sixers continue to struggle. With a record of 3-13, Philly will continue to look for ways to win while playing without its All-Stars Joel Embiid and Paul George for the time being.

The Sixers and Rockets are scheduled to square off at 7:00 p.m. ET.
